white gold, red gold, and diamonds!

well, i'm pretty sure this is about the cutest valentine's day story ever. so here you go:

dan took the boys to a baptism yesterday and afterwards sneaked off to get me a valentine's day present. he took them to the jeweler's bench. in their display cases they have jewelry, of course, but just for decoration, they have little fake gemstones scattered around. dan was asking the boys opinions about what they should get me, pointing out various necklaces, earrings, watches, etc. the boys (especially george) thought all those things were lame compared to the big "diamonds" in the cabinets. they were sure mommy would rather have the big diamonds than some little necklace. dan found a necklace he wanted to get me, but they would not be swayed: mommy would rather have the diamonds!! so the man behind the counter reached in and got two they could give me, while dan bought the necklace. so i was properly spoiled for valentine's day - showered with "jewels" and a white and red gold necklace. what a sweet houseful of boys i have!!!!
