The boys had a babysitter a couple weeks ago who did a horrible, horrible thing. She moved the TV antenna. You would not believe what an ordeal it has been to get the TV signal back. Oh the price to we pay to pay nothing.

Midnights with Henry
Since the dawn of our parenthood, Dan and I have always gone in to check on our boys before we go to bed. There is just nothing sweeter than peeking in on our little sleeping angels. It is such a quiet, special time for us and we do it every night. Our little Henry has picked up on this like no other child of ours has before.
There is a floorboard in the entryway to the boys' room that squeaks a bit if you step on it. With that squeak, up pops his little bald head, with his hilarious groggy expression and a little whimper to pick him up. Never fails. He's always a bit angry that he's been awakened, so I have to go feed him to transform him back into our sweet little Henry. When the transformation is complete, then comes our favorite time of the day: our "Midnights with Henry." Twenty minutes or so of stolen time to spend with our latest addition. What a doll.

Sprinkles and Sprinklers
we had a fun weekend. we took the boys to the children's museum and had a blast. while we were still in the downtown area, we stopped at 59 diner for lunch. we even splurged and got the boys banana shakes for dessert. they came in fancy milkshake cups, complete with whipped cream and colored sprinkles on top. ben pointed at his sprinkles and asked, "what are these?" (i know it seems odd for a 2 1/2 year old to not know what sprinkles are, but since i don't like them, they are a rarity in our home....) i answered him, "those are sprinkles." he sat in silence for a moment and contemplated that answer. he then looked up at me with his giant blue eyes and a very concerned look on his face and said, "so does water come out of them??"

I don't like the word blog. Just like I hate the word budget...agenda... Mopac. Some words are just ugly.
I don't read blogs and I haven't kept one up until now. In fact, I've had this site for months and never posted on it. But, here's to the future, and my overcoming the ugliness of the word "BLOG." Cheers!
